Rain poured outside the medicine cat's den and pounded on the woven bramble roof. Silver water drops flew in with the icy leaf-bare wind and the downpour showed no sign of stopping. Bright sunhigh sunlight bathed the forest in a beautiful light as a dark ginger she-cat with green eyes padded through the lush forest. Dovepaw sat outside the entrance to the apprentices' den with her tail crossed over her paws. Beside her sat her white tabby she-cat and littermate Ivypaw.
